Il Domaine Skouras è stato fondato nel 1986 a Pyrgela, nella Grecia meridionale, dall'enologo George Skouras, laureato a Digione. È stato il primo enologo in Grecia ad assemblare l'uva autoctona Aghiorghitiko (chiamata anche San Giorgio) con il Cabernet Sauvignon, ottenendo ottimi risultati con il vino Megan Oenos. Oggi il Domaine Skouras produce vini prestigiosi sia da vigneti di proprietà che da produttori locali.
Le uve di questo vino (95% Chardonnay e 5% Malagousia) provengono da viti di età compresa tra i 14 e i 27 anni, piantate su terreni sabbiosi in Corinzia e Argolide. La vinificazione avviene separatamente. Lo Chardonnay viene lasciato macerare sulle bucce per 6 ore e poi fermentato in parte in acciaio e in parte in barrique. Il Malagousia macera per 24 ore, fermenta in vasche d'acciaio e poi viene affinato "sur lie" per sei mesi. L'assemblaggio finale è stato affinato in bottiglia per tre mesi.
Dal cuore del Peloponneso greco, questo Chardonnay, con la leggera aggiunta dell'uva autoctona Malagousia, è un vino estremamente rinfrescante. Al naso, le note agrumate, tropicali e floreali creano un fantastico bouquet. L'alcol è perfettamente bilanciato e aggiunge profondità al vino. L'acidità lascia il palato pulito e fresco. Il vino è rotondo, con una buona concentrazione di frutta e un piacevole carattere aromatico. Si abbina perfettamente all'orata, all'aragosta o al pollo servito con una salsa cremosa. Si abbina bene anche a crostate vegetariane.
