Domaine Jean-Jacques is an important name to look out for whilst perusing Burgundy wines. It is one of the largest wineries in the region of Savigny-Les Beaune, comprising over 40 acres, with premium plots in world-famous regions such as Pommard and Volnay.

While Savigny-Les-Beaune is best known for its red wines, and Burgundy as a whole is best known for Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, head wine-makers Jean-Jacques and Victor Girard enjoy utilising some underrated Burgundy grapes. This white wine is crafted from 100% Aligoté and is a fabulous introduction to the often-overlooked grape.

The nose of this wine is marked with delicate white-fleshed fruits and white flowers. Hawthorn and acacia intermingle with apple, underripe pear and citrus zest.
