Zuccardi è una delle cantine familiari più rispettate dell'Argentina grazie al duro lavoro di José e di suo figlio Sebastian, che hanno concentrato i loro sforzi nella produzione di vini di alta qualità dalla Uco Valley di Mendoza. La cantina esiste dagli anni '60, quando fu fondata dal padre di José, Alberto, che piantò qui il suo primo vigneto per mostrare un nuovo sistema d'irrigazione piuttosto che per produrre vino. Oggi l'eredità di Alberto vive attraverso questo vino, Tito, che Sebastian ha creato in suo onore.
Questa sublime cuvée è principalmente una miscela di Malbec e Cabernet Sauvignon, ma contiene anche una piccola percentuale di due uve più rare, Ancellota e Caladoc. Tutta la frutta proviene dal pregiato vigneto Paraje Altamira di Zuccardi, che si trova a 1100 metri sul livello del mare e ha eccellenti terreni alluvionali e calcarei ben drenanti. La frutta viene accuratamente selezionata al momento del raccolto e fermentata in una combinazione di botti e vasche di cemento prima di essere lasciata maturare in botti di rovere.
Il risultato è un rosso intenso e di carattere che emana note di frutta scura di cassis, mora e prugna scura al naso insieme a sfumature di tabacco, spezie esotiche ed erbe secche. Al palato c'è un corpo pieno, tannini fermi ma lisci, e una struttura ben sviluppata che aiuterà questo vino a invecchiare meravigliosamente in cantina per qualche anno ancora.
